Mini Bio
Ellen Farris is the ex-wife of Dr. David Farris and the mother of Danielle and Sarah. She edits manuscripts for a living but is also trying to write her own book. Ellen has been sick for 14 years, suffering from headaches, amnesia, rashes and other symptoms that lead her to eventually be diagnosed as having selenium poisoning. Her ex-husband David is often a presence at her home, something that annoys her. When Lorraine, David’s new wife gets sick, Ellen discovers that Lorraine is suffering from the same symptoms that have been plaguing her for 14 years. It is left to Ellen to investigate the cause of not only her sickness, but eventually the cause of Lorraine’s premature death.

Function of Role
For over 14 years, David Farris has been poisoning Ellen with selenium. Her suspicions are aroused when David’s new wife, Lorraine starts getting the same symptoms that Ellen has been suffering from. When Lorraine dies suddenly at age 38, Ellen goes to the police, suspecting murder. It is through her that David finally gets his comeuppance and sent to jail.
