Do You Tumblr?

Are you a Tumblr user? Good news for Marg fans who are also Tumblr users: MaMa is on Tumblr! As more and more people have started using the service to blog, we decided to create a community for the Marg fans there. Our Tumblelog is a multi-author community where users can submit posts with text, photos, quotes, links, fan art, etc. and share them with people who follow the blog. If you own a Tumblr account, you are more than welcome to follow us and share the Marg love.

On a different note, don’t forget that you can celebrate and honor Marg’s birthday by donating to MargDay Project 2010 and helping women in need. Also, if you have registered in the MaMa forum before today but never received an activation email from us, please contact us with your registered username. We will activate your account as soon as we can.

We are a little late this year, but it’s finally here!

Remember our 2009 Birthday Project? We raised $500 in 40 days and donated the funds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. This year we organized another fundraiser for the foundation to honor Marg’s birthday and her work in raising cancer awareness. Back on Track

If you are a regular MaMa visitor, you must have noticed that the website’s loading speed had become really slow. After working on it for two months, we are finally running smoothly again. Everything should load just fine except for MargTube. We had trouble upgrading the script and decided to just restart the whole thing, so it’s going to take a while to have the video archive online again. However, we will continue uploading new CSI clips to YouTube while we work on the new video archive.

Emmys 2002 Photo Update And More

First of all, 19 high quality photos from the 54th annual Emmy Awards (2002) have been added to the gallery. Gotta love Marg in that gorgeous dress and those curls!

We spent the last week building a brand new icon archive on the main site and moving old icons from the gallery to the new archive. We also added tons of new icons. Feel free to use them in forums, blogs and other places with credit to the makers. Our sincere thanks to the fans that allow us to archive their works!

Ever since our big renovation in 2008, we have received a lot of emails in which fans asked us about the possibility of having a fan forum on MaMa. We’re sorry for the long wait, but the MaMa forum is finally up and running! Here are a few features of our brand new forum:

Simple: We try to make the forum as simple as possible to avoid complication.
Easy: You can register an account either the old way or sign up with an OpenID which makes it a whole lot easier.

New Look, New Poll

Tada! MaMa’s got a new look!

The previous dark grayish layout has been replaced with light colors that match up the season. We hope you like the new look. If you encounter any problems, please let us know. We will get them fixed as soon as possible. Meanwhile, a new poll is up on the sidebar. This time you’re going to choose your three favorite looks of Marg at award shows. Again, you can click each options to get a picture. Have fun!
