CSI Shooting at Golden Nugget in Las Vegas
According to Carol Cling of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the CSI cast and crew, including Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Jorja Fox and new male lead Ted Danson, are shooting scenes for the season 12 opener 73 Seconds in Las Vegas. Today they will be filming mainly in Golden Nugget. Here is an excerpt from the LVRJ article:

CSI Season 11 DVD Release Announced
According to a formal announcement by CBS/Paramount, the DVD set of CSI‘s eleventh season will have six discs and will be released on September 27th. There is also a preview of the cover art which may be a subject to change.

CSI Season 12 Premiere Date Announced
CBS has announced its schedule for the 2011-2012 fall season. Most of the network’s primetime shows will premiere during the week of September 19-25, and CSI will return in its new timeslot at 10 pm on Wednesday, September 21st. Marg to Receive a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee announced the 2012 list of entertainment personalities selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Marg made the list for the television category along with Mariska Hargitay, Patricia Heaton and other stars. The date of Marg’s star ceremony is yet to be announced.

Marg Receives Most Watched TV Show Award on CSI’s Behalf
The 2011 Monte Carlo TV Festival just ended with its award ceremony. CSI was named the most watched TV show in the world for the forth time in the festival’s six-year history. Marg accepted the award on the show’s behalf, but she couldn’t attend the ceremony in Monte Carlo since they’re “getting ready to dive into season 12″. She did give an acceptance speech in a video, though.

CSI: No More Dr. Langston
According to Deadline, Laurence Fishburne decided not to renew his contract with CBS, which means his character, Dr. Raymond Langston, will not return to CSI this fall. The news is a surprise regardless of how the viewers feel about the character. It also makes us at MaMa more curious about Marg’s status in season 12. Will she do about a dozen episodes like she has planned, or will the plan change because of Mr. Fishburne’s departure?

Marg to Present at the 65th Annual Tony Awards
The official Tony Awards website announced the first batch of presenters for this year’s award ceremony. Marg is included as well as Daniel Radcliffe, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock, Alec Baldwin, Samuel L. Jackson, Kelsey Grammer, Viola Davis, Vanessa Redgrave, James Earl Jones, Harry Connick Jr., Christie Brinkley, David Hyde Pierce, Matthew Broderick, Angela Lansbury, Jim Parsons, Joel Grey, Patrick Wilson and Robert Morse. Last time Marg was a presenter for the Tonys was back in 2007.
The show will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and air on CBS on June 12th at 8 PM ET live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Don’t miss it!
