Marg, Laurence and Paul: “We Are Tomodachi”
Last month a massive earthquake hit the northeast part of Japan and caused huge impacts to the country. To comfort and encourage the Japanese people, AXN Japan, a TV channel that broadcasts many American hit shows including the CSI franchise there, posted videos where TV show casts express their condolence and support to the country. Every message ends with the slogan we are tomodachi, inspired by the American troops’ “Operation Tomodachi” (友達, “friends” in Japanese).
